Nantahala School students in grades Kindergarten through 6 are invited to see the play Annie on Thursday Nov. 5th. The play will begin at 7:00 pm and will be seen at the Smoky Mtn Center For The Performing Arts in Franklin. Permission forms have been sent home. Ms. Leslie needs to know of all students who are planning on attending by Tuesday, Nov. 3rd. Student tickets are $7, adult tickets are $11. Money needs to be turned in on Thursday. Thank you.

Red Ribbon Day

Tomorrow will be Red Ribbon Day at Nantahala School. All students are encouraged to wear red to signify their abstinence from drugs, alcohol and tobacco. There will be a program in the gym at 9:40. Thank you

Youth Basketball Sign-ups
|
Youth Basketball sign-ups will be Thursday, October 1 at 7:00 pm for grades 1-8. They will be held in the Nantahala School library. There will be a $10 per family fee. First time players please bring your birth certificate, returning players bring last years uniform. Thank you.

PTO Open House
Hello Nantahala School parents, this is Chris Baldwin calling to invite you to our Open House on Monday Sept, 21. A nominating committee will be elected to decide forthcoming PTO officers and I will discuss the school's current academic progress, the upcoming SACS visit, and the school mission statement. We will have a guest speaker to discuss how parents can support instruction followed by our open house. Gear-up also has information to share with parents. Please bring your favorite fall dessert for the refreshment table. I look forward to seeing you all Monday night at 6:30. Thank you.

Upcoming Events
Hello, this is Chris Baldwin. I would like to inform you of three important upcoming dates. Ourannual Health Fair will be held on Sept. 17th. We request that all students wear their eyeglasses every school day, including the Health Fair. The PTO meeting on Monday, 9-21-09 at 6:30 will also be our Open House. Please come out and view student accomplishments. Finally, flu shots will be given to students by school nurses on Sept. 23. There will not be a charge, but students will need their insurance card if they have one. Call or email me with any questions. Thank you
