During Ms. Leslie's high school years, she attended Rosman High, but later on graduated from Andrews High. She went to many different colleges to gain her Bachelor's Degree in Education - Young Harris College, Western Carolina University, Mars Hill (degree in education) and Berea College. Her certifications include K-6 any subject, 6-9 Language Arts, and 9-12 English. Ms. Leslie attended Bank Street College, New Your City, Harvard Summer Session at Harvard, Liberty Universtiy, and Northwestern University to receive her Master's Degree in School Counseling. Ms. Leslie is also a National Board certified counselor. She has taught middleschool reading and communication skills, high school English, journalism, music, exploration of careers, and is our school counselor; she also drives a bus. Ms. Leslie has helped everyone at this school tramendously and does anything in her power to do so.
Ms. Leslie has two sons, named Colby and Skee. She lives at the top of Flint Rock Ridge in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina and spent several years in public education as a teacher and counselor. Her love of traveling and her experiences of studying at various universities in the United States have brought to her an even greater appreciation for her home in the Southern Appalachians. Her hobbies include traveling to different countries and experiencing different cultures, scuba diving, reading, cooking and baking for family, and of course writing. She plans on having 2 nonfiction books published in the near future that she has been working on. But has already completed a book called "A Moment in Season" which is available on Amazon.
